Spine care Chiropractic

Dr. Brad Creehan

“My first experience with chiropractic happened in my junior year of college at Syracuse University. I was home visiting my family on a break from school. I awoke one morning to discover that my head was tipped to one side and I could not straighten it out. I went to a chiropractor in town and he told me that a bone had shifted in my neck and was now pinching on a nerve causing “torticollis”. He then adjusted my neck and almost immediately I had full range of motion back in my neck. I was amazed. It was definately a life changing experience, because after I returned to Syracuse, completed my bioengineering degree and then proceeded to Palmer College in Iowa to get my Doctor of Chiropractic degree.”

Dr. B.J. was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and like most from the area is a die hard Steelers and Penguin fan. Although he enjoyed his time up north in Syracuse, it wasn’t until he moved to the Midwest that he truly found his path in life. His first experience with chiropractic made such an impact on him that he couldn’t wait to share the experience with as many people as possible. Dr. Creehan has always been athletic, he has run multiple marathons and competed in adventure races which involve him running, mountain biking, kayaking and rock climbing for up to 36 hours at a time. Chiropractic care has helped him tremendously in participating in these activities.

Moving to North Carolina and getting married has not slowed him down much either. He still continues to run marathons, ultramarathons, triathlons, and adventure races. Dr. Creehan loves to work with athletes so they can see what a dramatic difference chiropractic care can have on their performance. Dr. B.J. like his wife Dr. Heather, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Palmer College and became certified in Chiropractic Biophysics in 2004. With a background in engineering, he thrives on seeing the fantastic improvements that structural correction of the spine makes not only in his patients pain relief but also to the improvement in their overall health.

Dr. Heather Creehan

“I always knew I wanted a career in health care but it wasn’t until I discovered chiropractic that I found not only a career but a lifestyle where I knew I could truly help improve people’s lives. Ever since I was a child I was raised to believe that drugs were not the answer to sickness. My mother was always reluctant to give us any medication unless it was absolutely necessary. So on the first day of chiropractic school when I heard the chiropractic mantra, “The Body Needs No Help, Just No Interference”, I knew I was in the right place.”

Dr. Heather was born and raised in Mt. Pearl, Newfoundland, Canada. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Memorial University of Newfoundland before moving to Davenport, Iowa to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic. She chose to go to Palmer because even in Canada it came highly recommended and was recognized as the fountainhead of chiropractic. Dr. Heather didn’t realize the impact moving to Davenport, Iowa would have on her life. It not only gave her a clear understanding of exactly how the body functions and how to help others live a pain and disease free life, but she also met her husband Dr. B.J. Creehan there! After completing an internship in Markham, Ontario, Dr. Heather graduated Magna Cum Laude from Palmer College in 2004. Following graduation she moved to Raleigh, North Carolina with Dr. B.J. to start the next chapter of their lives together. In 2004 Dr. Heather also earned a certification in Chiropractic Biophysics. She is currently one of only 12 doctors in the state of North Carolina (the only female in the Raleigh/Cary area) certified to do structural correction of the spine.
