Chiropractic Health care Associates
My mission is to provide individualized, quality chiropractic care with an emphasis on patient education and nutrition. I strive to give patients of all ages a more fulfilling life and to educate them about how chiropractic care can help them.
A Cedar Rapids native, I returned after graduation to maximize the quality of life within my community. I believe in treating the body as a whole, using evidence-based treatments. My focus is on core stability, eliminating soft tissue restrictions, establishing appropriate joint positioning and alignment with chiropractic adjustments and retraining the muscular system to support all joint positions, stability and movement.
I received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, graduating cum laude, and have taken additional courses to acquire skill in treating soft tissue injuries. My training includes:
- Full-body-certification in Active Release Technique, a patented, state-of-the-art soft tissue system/movement-based massage that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves
- Certification in Graston Technique, which uses an instrument to treat scar tissue and restrictions
I utilize Palmer Package when adjusting patients, which includes Diversified, Thompson, Gonstead and Toggle Recoil. I also use Activator Methods, which is a very gentle adjustment using a handheld instrument.
I am available to speak to your company, school, or club on health related topics such as back injury prevention, pregnancy, workplace ergonomics, as well as musculoskeletal conditions that chiropractic care can relieve and prevent.
