The Bachelor of Physiotherapy takes a comprehensive approach to learning about the prevention, diagnosis and therapeutic management of pain and disorders of human movement. You will learn about the diversity of clinical specialties that are required to meet the unique needs of clients and to enhance the health and welfare of the wider community. Physiotherapists are autonomous professionals, first-contact practitioners and valued members of wider health teams.

The Bachelor of Physiotherapy is accredited by the Australian Physiotherapy Council and approved by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia. Graduates are eligible to apply for registration to practice physiotherapy in Australia.
High performing students may be eligible to apply for the Bachelor of Physiotherapy Honours degree, based on their academic performance or on approval of the course convener.

Normal University requirements for admission to an undergraduate degree course.
Additional Admission Requirements
All students in the Bachelor of Physiotherapy course are required to complete clinical practice placement in blocks of time, often outside teaching time. These clinical practice placements are essential to the program. Prior to commencing clinical practice, all students need to present a complete immunisation schedule, and First Aid Certificates including CPR, as a requirement of the ACT and NSW health departments. All students are required to undergo an Australian Federal Police record check prior to undertaking clinical experience in the ACT, and a NSW Police check before undertaking practice in NSW.
Assumed Knowledge
ACT: Mathematical Methods major and either Biology or Human Movement major(s); and Chemistry or Physics major(s). NSW: Mathematics and either Biology or Human Movement, and Physics or Chemistry.
