Asian Massage San Diego
Students in the Asian Holistic Health & Massage program are immersed in courses that truly embody balance, bringing Eastern and Western massage together at one of the best massage schools in California. Students study and apply Tui Na, Swedish massage, shiatsu, Thai massage and a host of other styles. Biomedical courses help prepare practitioners for both medical and spa settings and allow them to fully understand how massage techniques affect the body on a physical level.
As an intern in the clinic, you will work as part of a holistic medical team comprised of massage practitioners, licensed acupuncturists, supervisors and fellow students. The clinical experience gives you the practical, hands-on experience you need to make a smooth transition into a professional clinic and learn how to become a massage therapist.
The Associate of Science program gives the student expert training in massage therapy and Asian bodywork such as Tui Na and Oriental medicine, while also providing the general education credits needed to progress to higher programs such as the Master’s.
The Associate of Applied Science program covers not only expert massage/bodywork training, but also provides access to an array of electives focusing on more specific fields ranging from pediatrics to sports medicine.
The certificate program is ideal for students looking to prepare quickly for employment in massage therapy, providing the student with the massage therapy and Asian bodywork training required to achieve national and state certification in a little more than half the time of the AS or AAS program.
