Life care Chiropractic and Wellness Center

Dr. Sharman has been practicing for 18 years, all in her own chiropractic business. Her credentials include:

Why she has chosen this profession:

“I have always been fascinated by the expression of life whether it is the ecosystem of the rainforest or the function of the human body. This led me to study biochemistry, really one of the more specific ways to understand how things work at a very detailed level. In studying biochemistry, I was fascinated by the body’s ability to function and regulate itself from the simplest process of converting food to energy all the way to the complex function of the immune cells in fighting threats. I quickly began to understand that the human body is readily equipped to regulate and repair itself, and the key to wellness lies in optimizing this process rather than using medications to cover up symptoms. It was during undergraduate college that I started visiting a chiropractor for my own wellness needs. I was amazed at how chiropractic tied everything together, including a natural and holistic approach to wellness, a very patient-centered methodology and something a little different and progressive. I knew that I had found my profession.”

Dr. Sharman on wellness:

“Pain, illness and disease present themselves when the body is overburdened by physical/mechanical, mental/emotional or chemical/nutritional stress. The body is more able to thrive when these stressors are reduced. Chiropractic is a way to nurture the bodies control center, the nervous system. By removing interference in the pathways from the brain, through the spinal cord and out of the spine through nerves to the tissue cells, we enhance the body’s ability to regulate, repair and heal itself. There are so many unique factors to a person’s wellbeing. It is important to look at the whole being and their environment and to focus on what needs to be addressed anywhere within that picture.”

Words of wisdom:

“It is my personal opinion that life is meant to be lived with joy and present-mindedness. I believe that being well and pain free is essential in order to fully enjoy life. Many of the things we do in our office allow a person to move toward expressing health to their fullest potential. This in turns allows them to enjoy more meaningful relationships, participate in their favorite activities, be more active with their families and perform better at work. All of this leads to greater contentment. There is nothing in the world better than seeing that in someone’s life and knowing that you are a partner with him or her in making that happen.”
